Setting Up Your E-mail in Microsoft Outlook
This tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Outlook to work with your e-mail account. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2003, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings in this tutorial.

To Set Up Your E-mail Account in Microsoft Outlook 2003
1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts. (Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts)
2. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next. (Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts > Add > Mail --- Goto Step 4)
3. For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.
4. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:
Your Name: Enter your first and last name.
E-mail Address: Enter your new e-mail address. eg. jsmith@xyzcompany.com
User Name: Enter your new e-mail address, as above. eg. jsmith@xyzcompany.com
Password: Enter the password you set up or were provided for your new e-mail account.
Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter mail.yourdomainname for your incoming mail server. For example mail.xyzbusiness.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter your Internet Service Provider's mail server here. Eg. mail.[ISP].com This can normally be found on their website, or may be the suffix of an existing personal email account you already have set up in outlook. For example it may be mail.bigpond.com, mail.optusnet.com.au etc, depending on who provides your internet service. If you are unsure, please contact your Internet Service Provider to confirm address.
5. Click Test Account Settings
Testing your Account Settings will provide you with a clear indication if there are any errors in your new email details.
If you receive all ticks in your test, then CONGRATULATIONS! you have successfully set up your new e-mail account.
6. In this case, select Next, and then Finish.
